From Wikipedia: "Introversion is "the state of or tendency toward being wholly or predominantly concerned with and interested in one's own mental life".[3] Introverts tend to be more reserved and less outspoken in large groups. They often take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, drawing, and using computers."
Clam speaks:
That's me. I am an introvert.
I prefer less social activities & enjoy spending time at home alone engaged in solo activities like reading, crafting or daydreaming.
So, if at times I did not accept your invitations to dinner, gathering, or whatsoever, it's not because I do not enjoy your company.
It's just this clam in me that's acting up again.
Clam has spoken and is now off to enjoy its solitude.
Haha! there again, another nice piece of story telling with a morale.
ReplyDeleteHehe, more like a self-reflection actually. :)
ReplyDeleteI am not a great fan of clams, really. But I do behave like a clam at times, preferring to have me-time doing the stuff I enjoy doing. I was even labelled as anti-social. Well...that hurts, but I know better :)
ReplyDeleteHi Belle, I know what you mean cos I suffered the same fate being an introvert myself. It's really not nice to label someone as anti-social as that term denotes some kind of disorder(!) which is not true of introverts. The truth is introverts just do not thrive on too much stimulus & not enough alone time, that's all. Introverts are a very understood lot.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I don't eat clams myself :).
Hi-Five! Alcy :D
