Two Fridays ago, I accidentally came across this anime TV series, Monster, when I was channel-hopping. This is a 74-episode (!) anime series shown on Okto Channel every Friday at 11pm. Well, the thing is I'm not into anime (at least not until now) & will normally switch channel if I see one. However, this time what caught my eye & got me interested to watch further was this character, Inspector Lunge, who has this habit of "entering data" into his memory by making typing gestures with his hands. You see, this reminded me of the character "Morning Sir" (also a detective) played by 郭晋安 in the HK drama, "隔世追凶", who also has this same habit! I liked the detective drama 隔世追凶 (especially the first half of it) & since I'm a sucker for thrillers, naturally I also got hooked to the "Monster" anime. At the same time, it also got me wondering who's the copycat here & so I checked it up on Wikipedia - The "Monster" manga was published between 1994 and 2001 & the anime TV series was aired from April 2004 to September 2005 while 隔世追凶 was broadcasted in 2004 - so (as expected) the answer is quite clear isn't it? Anyway, when I stumbled upon the "Monster" 2 weeks ago, it was already halfway through episode 3. Thank goodness for the internet, I was able to catch the first few episodes that I had missed on YouTube. Do watch it if you also like thrillers, like me. I'm sure you'll find this interesting.
